The Wrinkly Rambler

Pleasant walks with camera and three dogs

Walk Over Winter Hill

In spite of the ever present threat of rain it was a nice sunny afternoon with a gentle breeze, so I decided to take the dogs for a walk over to the east side of Winter Hill. I parked the car on Georges Lane near Wilderswood and walked up the path onto Winter Hill, then via Holdens Plantation and Holdens Farm to the edge of Walker Fold Woods, passing the ruins of Burnt Edge Colliery on the way. Then we took the path up onto Burnt Edge before making our way back to the car via Holdens Plantation and Wilders Moor.
