Pleasant walks with camera and three dogs
Today we started from Walker Fold Road and walked up the path to the corner of Walker Fold Woods. I was going to go up onto Burnt Edge and back via Holdens Farm, but changed my mind and instead meandered through Walker Fold Woods as I hadn’t been in there for quite some time. As expected it was very muddy, but we managed to get through without too much slipping and sliding, then took the path past Sheep Cote Green Farm and into Roscow’s Tenement Clough. Then we continued on to Holdens Farm and past the ruins of Burnt Edge Colliery before making our way back to the car. The total distance was only three miles, but a delightful stroll nonetheless, and Brett, Molly and Sam had a good runabout in the woods.
