The Wrinkly Rambler

Pleasant walks with camera and three dogs

Snowy Afternoon in Rivington

I had an excellent walk through the Terraced Gardens at Rivington with Brett, Molly and Sam this afternoon. We started from the lane leading up to Rivington Hall Barn then made our way to the path leading up around the tiered waterfall in the area called The Ravine (aka The Dell). This is a natural stream that the late Lord Leverhulme had landscaped into a waterfall that is criss crossed by three stone bridges, and is part of the Terraced Gardens. At the top of the path we strolled around the Japanese Garden (which was frozen and snowed over) before making our way back down to the car.
